Have you ever read a book that had a lot of mystery and secrets that spanned many years? I have found a book that you will love to read!! Death at Crookham Hall by Michelle Salter has written one that will peak your interest. Also, she weaves an amazing a story of deep secrets, a death and a murder trial.
Her editor requested that Iris Woodmoore write a story about Parliament candidates’ viewpoints. She did it for Lady Delphina Tompson (Conservative), Mrs. Sybil Siddons (Liberal) and Donald Anstey (Labour). As this was happening Lord Tobias Timpson was found murdered by the River Thames. Also, she was forced to confront her past concerning her mother’s death by the River Thames. Also, what happened to the other participants in suffragette activities in 1914.
When Lord Timpson was murdered, she started researching why it happened. What she discovered is the many secrets that Crookham Hall held. Also, that he wasn’t what everybody thought he was. It seems he was controlling and manipulative bully. Also, he was a drunk, a gambler with a large gambling debt and a womanizer.
Also, what happened to her mother. Her mother’s name was Violet. Violet was a suffragette who just wanted to paint the grilles, hang her banner and force those in power to acknowledge the suffragettes. She died during a suffragette attack on Parliament in 1914. Also, about Violent Dent mysteries disappearance.
Death at Crookham Hall by Michelle Salter is a wonderful book to read. I just love the way she weaves a trial and two deaths in her book. She makes it an easy read that wants me to read her other books.
