Murder By the Book – By Lauren Elliott

I just finished reading a book called Murder By the Book by Lauren Elliott.   I have found another author that I will follow in the future.  She is a very exciting and engaging author.  I couldn’t put this book down and can’t wait to read her next book in the series.

Murder By the Book starts with Addison Greyborne being almost run over in front of her unopened bookstore called Beyond the Page-Books and Curios.  Then discovering her bookstore had been broken into.  This was unusual because only one book was taken.  Addison sales used and rare books.  Nobody had known about her store because she was not open.

Addison had just moved to Greyborne Arbor to live in her beloved Great Aunt Anita’s ancestral home after working in London locating lost collectable books.  She wanted new beginnings because of the deaths of her dad and her fiancé.  Her Aunt Anita, dad and her fiancé had died under strange situations.

This is when she met her new friends.  Serena Chandler who is the owner of SerenaTea and Marc Chandler who is the Chief of Police (Serena’s brother).  Lauren Elliott weaves how Addison, Serena and Marc solve why Addison’s bookstore and her Aunt Anita house were kept being broken into.  Also, prove that Serena is not guilty of murder.  She did this while becoming a successful shop owner.

I recommend you get this book to see why and who are doing the break ins and murder to locate lost collectable books to sale for a very expensive price.
