Have you ever read a book that blends present and prehistoric times? Here is a book you might find interesting like I did. I loved the way Jean M. Auel wrote The Valley of Horses. She told me a tale of how two people from different cultures can meet and learn to live with each other. She made me want to learn more and more about what happened to the characters in this book.
The Valley of Horses started with Ayla on a journey to find her people that are tall and fair like herself. She had been raised by an ancient clan who adopted her. Also, how she was cruelly kicked out by the new clan leader.
Ayla traveled through a glacier to locate a cave in a valley of horses. And how she found happiness and peace for the first time in her life. Her first friends were two orphans. One was a horse and a bear. She raised them as if they were her babies. Then she met Jondalar who would become the love of her life.
Jondalar was from the nineth cave of Zelandomi clan. He and his brother Thonalan were going on a long journey to find themselves. They had met many different cultures and communities. Also, they fell in love and met with many wonderful people they would never forget. He had been badly hurt by a hunting lion and his brother had died from a landslide when they entered her valley of horses.
They fell in love when Ayla was nursing Jondalar back to health. Also, they learned about each other
